Sourdough sandwich bread

This recipe is very easy to make, there is no long kneading step. You get a bread ideal for sandwiches and ready the same day.

Pour 1 loaf of bread

Ingrédients

  • 400 g of bread flour
  • 150 g of sourdough active
  • 200 ml of milk
  • 30 g of butter melted
  • 30 g of honey
  • 8 g of salt

Instructions

  • Melt the butter, then let it cool.

  • In a mixing bowl, using a whisk: mix the milk, starter, honey, melted butter, and salt.

  • Add the flour and mix.
    400 g of bread flour
  • Knead well by hand or use a stand mixer with a dough hook.
  • Form a ball, then shape it into a log to fit into the loaf pan.
  • Cover the loaf pan with plastic wrap and let the dough rest for about 4 to 6 hours. We want the dough to rise.
  • When the dough has doubled in size, bake at 360°F or 180°C for about 30 minutes.
